Summer Camp

Our fun-filled summer camp is designed for kids aged 9 months to 5 years accompanied by a caregiver.  We explore a different theme each week — come ready to make solar systems, enjoy water fun, hatch butterflies, and more!

We certainly hope that by the summer we will be able to run our summer program; however, in recognition of the uncertainties occasioned by  COVID-19, we are amending our refund policy and will offer a full refund (minus credit card fees if paid by credit card) if the program is canceled or if a family does not wish to attend because of ongoing COVID-19-related issues.

Open from 9:00 to 12:00 families are free to come and go to best suit their child’s schedule. Here is our daily routine (we may start outdoors some days based on weather!):

  • 9:00-10:15: Arts/crafts, easels, sensory table, STEM materials, free exploration
  • 10:15-10:30: Snack (please bring a nut free snack)
  • 10:30-11:00: Circle time with songs, musical instruments, parachute play, and storytime (run in English and Spanish!)
  • 11:00-12:00: Outdoor curriculum at our exploratory playground

Summer Camp 2020 runs July 6 through July 31. Sign up for one, two, three or all four weeks! Tuition is $250 per week or save 10% and register for all 4-weeks for $900. No registration fees for Summer! (please note that all fees are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable)

Week 1: July 6 - 10

Dinosaurs:  Fossil sites, dinosaur stomps, dinosaur bones, and so much more!  Kids love dinosaurs and we’ll have fun learning about them through artwork, books, and lots of digging!

Week 2: July 13 - 17

Under the Sea:  Fish, whales, sharks, jellyfish, coral…if its under the sea, we’ll be exploring it this week.  Expect lots of water fun!

Week 3: July 20 - 24

Nature Science: insects, plants and more! From seed to plant, we’ll learn about the life-cycle of plants by doing some potting of our own.  We’ll also have nature scavenger hunts; hatch butterflies;  make terrariums; dig for insects; make sun catchers; and more!  It’s all about our natural habitat this third week.

Week 4: July 27 - 31

Outer Space:  From making our own solar system to learning about stars, we’ll turn our gaze upwards this week.  Moonscapes, rocketships, planets…we have a week of outer space ending our summer!

Sample curriculum

Curious about a week’s curriculum?  Here’s what’s on tap for our outer space week!

Over the course of the week we’ll be worked collaboratively on a large box rocket ship and a classroom solar system mural.  Our daily stations will include fun-filled activities such as a galaxy sensory bin; arts and crafts tables that include marble paint planets and foil moon painting; play dough space monsters; sparkly space play dough; and rock-ship inspired popsicle stick creations.  The kids will have a BLAST while learning about space!
